My name is Mafleh Alzalabeh, I was born and live in Wadi Rum, I have been working in organizing and leading tours in Wadi Rum for many years.

Whether you prefer to discover Wadi Rum by 4X4, on foot, by climbing or even on the back of a camel, I can organize your circuit in Wadi Rum according to the programs established in the excursion section or according to your personal choice of itinerary.

During our trips you will have opportunities to walk through the canyons (where can not drive with car) or you could sandboard on the sand dunes (sandboarding)!

In case of overnight, the price for overnight (camp or outside in the desert) is 25 jd/person.

Excursions

Here are some examples of circuits that I propose to you to discover Wadi Rum, I can also compose a tailor-made circuit according to your desires and your physical level.

On these circuits, all the meals are cooked, mixed salads at lunchtime, soup and hot dish based on meat, starches, vegetables in the evening.

We spend the nights under the stars to make the most of the starry sky and the atmosphere of Wadi Rum, in case of bad weather, we set up our camp in natural shelters under rocks. Mattresses, blankets are provided.

During our trips you will have opportunities to walk through the canyons (where can not drive with car) or you could sandboard on the sand dunes (sandboarding)!

1 day in a jeep

We leave the village of Rum in a Jeep and make a first stop at the source of Lawrence, then at the highest dune of Wadi Rum (95 meters), possibility of climbing it. We then head to the jebel (mountain) Anafishiya where we can admire Nabataean carvings. We continue to Barragh Canyon where we take a lunch break.

After lunch we head to Jebel Burdah then we stop at the arch of Um Fruth, possibility of climbing it.

After admiring the sunset, we return to the village.

Progressing through the wild and uncrowded landscapes of this part of Wadi Rum, we cross wide valleys to arrive at the foot of Jebel Um Adami, the highest peak in Jordan at 1854 meters above sea level, bordering the border. with Saudi Arabia. we climb it (3 or 4 hours there and back), from the top the view is magnificent and we take in the peaks of Wadi Rum and the Saudi desert.

After lunch we go to a fixed camp where we have the opportunity to take a shower and admire the sunset.

After breakfast return to the village.

These 5 days of hiking and scrambling are accessible to anyone in good physical condition. this program is given as an indication, the stages can be lengthened or shortened according to your desires and your physical level. The walking times indicated take break times into account.

D1:

We start on foot from the mountain „the 7 pillars of wisdom“ and cross the Makharas canyon to the mountain of Um Ashrin where we have lunch. about 3 hours of walking

After the siesta we continue to the highest dune of Wadi Rum (95 m), possibility of climbing to its summit from where the view is dazzling, and the descent so funny! About 2 hours walk

night under the stars or in a rock shelter near the dune.

D2:

After breakfast, we hike to Lawrence’s house and then to the Abo kashbah canyon. About 3 hours of walking

In the afternoon through canyons and valleys, we reach the foothills of Burdah mountain. 2 hour walk

D3:

after breakfast we climb to the Burdah arch, it takes about 3 hours round trip with easy climbing passages. This hike offers us a magnificent view of Wadi Rum. After this beautiful course, we go to the arch of Um Fruth.

We then go to our campsite for the night, a privileged place to admire the sunset. Meals and night under the stars, or in a rock shelter in case of bad weather.

D4:

In the morning we walk towards Wadi Nukra in the heart of large stretches of sand. about 3 hours of walking.

After lunch we cross a magnificent canyon lined with white sand. Then we head to Jebel Abu Hamata where we settle down for the night. about 2 hours walk

D5

After breakfast, we transfer by jeep to Jebel Um Adami, the highest peak in Jordan at 1854 meters above sea level, on the border with Saudi Arabia. we climb it (3 hours there and back), from the top the view is magnificent and we take in the peaks of Wadi Rum and the Saudi desert.

In the afternoon we reach Jebel um Sabata from where the observation of the sunset is sumptuous.

D6:

After breakfast we walk to the Canyon of Khazali, then we leave by Jeep for the village of Ram which we reach around 10am. end of the journey.

WINTER RATES 2022 / 2023

Overnight (camp or outside in the desert) is 25jd/person.

Whole day food and drink (breakfast/lunch/dinner) 25jd/person.

(Sleeping in desert will be cheaper!) In case, you do not want to take any of the tours and just want to stay in camp, we will charge you for the way to the camp 20 jd and from the camp back to the village of Wadi Rum also 20 jd. This price is for group up to 5 persons.
